If you must go to Kent County Motors for your vehicle
If you must go to Kent County Motors for your vehicle purchase, you need to be warned to steer clear of a Sales Rep RODNEY NICKLES. He is without a doubt a the worst salesperson I have ever encountered; he likes to tell his customers that they are “Ignorant.” When you call someone Ignorant, it’s not considered a compliment. In fact, those that use it are considered self-centered, pompous persons that feel superior to you. No wonder it’s often viewed as very offensive. Once the word Ignorant was used, there was no way to salvage any buyer/seller relationship. From that point, it went very badly, where I was reassigned to two other reps, Matt Hall, and Chris Blades. Both seem to be very nice and respectful. If I was to rate them individually, they would receive my recommendation; however, they are in the same department as Rodney and the LIKER scale doesn’t allow negative rating numbers. To make matters worse, when dropping off my truck for service and working with Matt, I entered the showroom to see two persons at their desk at which time I said Good Morning. I received an instant reply from the one of the two; however, Rodney was the second person and as I passed, I heard him say Good Morning, which I took as a response to me saying Good Morning to both of them. As I continued to look for Matt, Rodney makes a rude statement about me to the other sales rep for which I took as instigating a confrontation. If it wasn’t for Matt breaking it up, I have no doubt that this professional salesman and I would have ended up in police handcuffs. This is the most expensive purchase I have ever made apart from buying a home and Rodney single handily ruined my buying experience and for what? I am the one that initiated the purchase process online using the GMC.com website, where I built my own vehicle. Unlike using a site like Carvana, GMC forces buyers to use a dealership and I picked Kent County Motors based on their location…what a mistake!! My final comment is to the supervisors and managers working at this dealership; how is a person like Rodney, who obvious lacks customer service skills allowed to remain in a position where he deals with customers. This is a huge failure on the part of key managers at this dealership.

I was looking for a specific GMC Sierra 2500 and Kent
I was looking for a specific GMC Sierra 2500 and Kent County had it. I live over an 1 1/2hrs away so I contacted Kent by phone. I spoke to Rodney Nickles who did a terrific job. After a normal back and forth negotiation we came to a deal. I traveled to Kent County the next day. Upon arrival Rodney was expecting me and had the truck already cleaned up and ready to go. I needed a front license plate bracket installed on the truck because my state requires if which Rodney took care of right away. The finance person Shawn was great also, explained everything I asked and didn't try to sell me unnecessary extras like some other dealers I've delt with. In a world where smaller independent dealers are being gobbled up by big companies it was nice to deal with a local company like Kent County, please stay just the way you are. Great job guys! I went on their lot looking at a vehicle they had available after getting some ideas on my trade pricing etc. Rodney came out and greeted me right on the lot and allowed me to take a test drive in the vehicle to see how I liked it. While I was out on the test drive, they evaluated my trade. After working some numbers and some negotiation I came in and made the purchase. For me, the entire process on the day of purchasing only took around 55 minutes in the door and out. Rodney did all the foot work before I was there to make the physical process at the dealer quick and painless. The other dealer I was originally working with is where I purchased my trade. They were not nearly as competitive as Kent Co Motors was willing and able to be on my trade and were not as accommodating. The only thing I am waiting on now is a check for my trade, which is expected sometime next week! I am completely satisfied with this purchase and how helpful Rodney was through the whole process! Ill definitely be referring people to Kent Co Motors! On another note, there is a review on here regarding some situation with Rodney and a customer who must not have been too thrilled. I think looking at all of his great reviews, it should speak for itself that the poor review on here is directly an issue that customer had, and does not represent Rodney in anyway. Considering the customer thought they were going to end up "in police handcuffs", I would definitely say this issue was not without customer fault. I must write a negative review to Mr.
I must write a negative review to Mr. Humphries as his lack of professionalism, and the way he spoke to me today and handle my purchase. I visited the store and was well impressed by salesperson. I bought a 2021 Jeep Cherokee and two days later felt I should drive a new Terrain instead paying (35,000 thousand for price and extended warranty financed together). Mr. Humphries told me I will lose $2500. I asked questions about how many kinds of Terrain are out there, he answered two. Obviously, I can do research on my own. My expectations as a female Hispanic heritage teacher are to be treated with the same respect than a man or any other customer. Secondly, if I am not happy with the car I just bought because a hear a noise inside and do not want to have issues. Customer happiness is always a win; why punish me when I am concern with a noise and wants peace of mind. He mentioned that any car can have noises. I told him that I will look into a different GMC Dealer because he is not helping...... he moved his head as "don't care". I can't recommend a place where administrators forget we deserved better. I rather pay $34,000 for a new car than paying $35,000 for a used car with extended warranty. I was sick with a bad cold when I made the purchase, desperate because I had a rental and need a car, didn't chose right. I went back next day and cancelled the whole extra warranty!
